Bluetooth keeps dialling the last number I’ve called!

Featured Replies

Hi, my Focus 62 plate keeps repeatedly calling the last person I’ve called! I thought it may have been a problem with my phone but I’ve upgraded my iPhone and still have the problem, it called one number 12 times in a minute and I just end up having to disconnect the Bluetooth, anyone had the same issue or know a solution? Thanks

That's a weird one. As far as I know, the car BluTooth module has no 'memory' so would only react to a phone command telling it to dial the number. I have no experience with iPhone as I'm an Android guy, but would be surprised if your iPhone due to an errant setting isn't telling your car to do what it's being told...

Someone smart should be along soon.....

Bluetooth isn't really my area either.  But modern cars like the Mk3 Focus do have a memory that stores phone info.

There should be a setting within the cars menu for 'auto-redial' or similar.  I'd check to make sure that's switched off.

You could have a sticky button on the steering wheel

If you press call, then call again, it dials the last number.

Switch might not be returning to the top fully

Sound analysis, would certainly explain why a change of phone never sorted it...
