New exhaust flexi

Featured Replies

Hi,

I own a 2012 ford fiesta metal edition and I have recently found out I have a burst flexi pipe! I don’t know how to find what one would fit my car and need some help if possible please 🙂

Happy to help, but will need either the registration number or the VIN

The Metal edition all used the same engine, 1.6 Ti-VCT with 135bhp.

The flexi pipe is part of the catalytic converter assembly and not available separately from Ford.  So the options you have are buying a brand new genuine cat from Ford, buying a genuine used cat from ebay/breakers yard or buying a non-genuine new cat from ebay or similar.

Alternatively, you could ask an exhaust shop if they can cut out and replace the flexi on your existing cat, though it is only a short pipe on these and may not be easy.  I have been made aware of replacement flexis for the 1.0 EcoBoost cat but can't see anything similar for the Zetec engine cat unfortunately.
