Focus 06 tdci limp mode ! can,t get rid

Featured Replies

I have changed glow plugs

oil and filter

cleaned EGR valve ,took it off

renewed thermostat  but I did not test it in hot water as it was new

air filter

disconnected  battery earth to clear fault codes

this car goes out of limp mode when it feels like and goes like a ***** rocket ,but other times the cog lights up  and today the cog was back & forth ,I also renewed the expansion tank and cap but it still loses water but I don’t here the thermostatic fan start up , there’s no obvious leaks and I don’t know where the fuse is or the number.        When I am driving and dip the clutch to go down a cog the engine sometimes cuts out which is scary when going round a corner , it’s hard to control with no power steering .when I go out I don’t know if I will get back home . 2 mechanics have failed to rectify the faults , am I fed up or what !

get any codes read, and post those before we can start diagnosis
