I have heard that Fords are recalling cars ecoboost engines which have the wet belt system.

Is this true or just a rumour ?

Not true.

I may say a partial true, cause there's a recall in US for certain EcoSport and Focus models.

Yes, as already discussed in several threads on here, there are numerous reports on the web, US only so far and it is for automatics which are prevalent there:

Probably got a heart attack just looking at the cost and breadth of the recall they would have to do in the UK/EU.

Fiesta and the Focus has been the best selling car for years atleast here in the UK and they pushed those ecoboost engines hard.

Actually a lot less than the cost of the USA recall.

It's only 1.0 Ecoboost with 6F15 auto transmission, probably just a few thousand in UK/EU, if that, or maybe more because it does include Fiesta over here, which was never sold in USA

Oh yeah forgot that auto fords aren't that popular in the UK.

Remember looking for a focus auto a couple of years ago, and they got outnumbered by the manuals by a huge ratio.
