Ford Focus 1.0 2015 Ecoboost Timing Belt

Featured Replies

I have a Ford Focus 1.0 2015 Ecoboost. We have been quoted £1900 to change the timing belt. Is this correct. Will this mean our car will be fine for another 10 years? Any advice appreciated.

£1900 is at the higher end of the spectrum for this job.  If you're willing to travel to get it done then there are cheaper places around. You may not find one in the South East though.

The new belt should be good for another 10 years, providing it gets serviced correctly etc.  However there are still many other things that could fail between 10-20 years.

Got it done at cedar garage Worthing for about £1200. Check around as many garages now have the tools having seen the demand for the work. Even my small local does the job now.

Although I wouldn't recommend cedar garage. Even though they did the work fine, they fabricated additional problems (rear struts failing, shocks weeping, my local garage showed these were false).
