Converting to middle arm rest

Featured Replies

The best is if you can pick it out from a car that is sold in pieces to get all tge bits and bobs. Maybe some other brackets will be needed than what you have now, and some wiring and the covers for the centre console and also the handbrake- and gear gaiter.

+1, you'll also need the 2 x drinks tray and cigarette lighter.  If you sleep in the car a lot, like I do, the arm rest is a pain as it's in the way if you like to sleep behind drivers seat with legs over the passenger seat with its backrest all the way back.

I don't sleep in my 2008 Focus, but the armrest still gets in the way !

Cheers. I don't sleep in the Focus.

Is there an online parts catalogue I can look at to get idea of parts needed?

I couldn't be without an armrest in a car after first having one in Mk4 Golf over a decade ago.  Elbow on the arm rest, palm on the gearstick, perfect.

Ford - Catcar.info Should show all the parts you need.

elaborating on TomsFocus post, there's a lot involved.  If it were me, I'd be heading to your local scrappies and trying to find all the bits in a single visit.
