Hi i am new member have a few issues with fiesta i have just bought wondering if any body can help when i press button to lock central locking car makes all the right noises but does not lock , sounds like locks are locking but open again straight away ,can anyone help ?

    One of the door lock switches is not detecting that the doors are closed.

    With the ignition on and all the doors closed, do you have any warnings on the instrument cluster showing that a door (or tailgate) is still open ?

    Would that fault still manifest itself by manually locking the car with the key blade?

    I'd expect it to be exactly the same. That is, it will attempt to lock and then unlock in a few seconds.

    Wondering if our new member picked that fault up on a test drive, and if it was a negotiation point 😀
