Ford Fiesta Zetec 2010 1.2 Fuel issues (Petrol)

Hi All,

We have brought our son a ford fiesta Zetec 1.2 Petrol (2010) last year and I think he put some dirty fuel in the tank as you can feel it jump a little when driving...

I wanted to service the car for him and replace the filter however I'm told there isn't one for this model.  I spoke to Ford also and they agreed since the fuel tank is plastic there is no filter 😞

My question is, is there a filter in the fuel pump in the tank that can be replaced and is it a fairly easy job or can I add an inline filter to the fuel pipes?  If not any other suggestions, fuel cleaner additive etc??

    Run it down as low as you possible can (25 miles to empty on the fuel computer) and fill it up with E5 Super unleaded.

    If it's still playing up after that, check when the plugs and leads (if it has leads) were last changed, if you don't know, change them.

    Check the air cleaner is clean and dry. Give it an oil and filter change

    Stick some 99RoN in the tank and go for an Italian tune up. The fuel filter sits under the rear seats, it's PITA to change, you'll need a gasket as well not sure if it comes with the filter
