£180 for a Ford Fiesta Oil Change!

Hi, my Ford Fiesta 2019 is due an MOT soon. I appreciate it's 5 years old and Ford recommends a service every 2 years. But I thought I would get the MOT and just an oil change from Allen Ford. Called them up and had to get the advisor to repeat 4 times before it registered in my head he was saying £180 for an oil change. Just want to know whether I was being pushed to get a service?

    Just checked prices for 2019 Fiesta at my local:

    Scheduled service - £250

    Essential service - £209

    So it looks like you were only quoted for an oil change. :unsure:

    It really is bonkers how much an oil and filter change at ford dealers are charging. 

    £11 genuine filter, £31 for Castrol magnatec  and £138 to change it. I would travel and  do it on your drive for that much!!!

    @TomsFocus I decided to go for the Ford Essential Service as it includes a number of checks and air filter change. With Summer20 discount, it works out the same price as MOT and just an oil change but at least I get a number of other checks / bits and bobs

    @iantt I'm sure an oil change used to be about £60 pre covid but can't understand how it's triped (300% increase) when inflation has been just under or about 10%
