Mk8 Standard spoiler extension

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have recently been looking for a lip spoiler to put onto my 2018 fiesta mk8 1.1, however the one which is offered on maxton for the standard fiesta models I thought wasn't as aggressive as what I was looking for.

The others which I had seen were from magna tuning which from some research I have found is unreliable and they have extremely long delivery times which can be months. I also saw the same spoiler they do offered on CRS automotive but due to them being based from Germany the shipping costs were 99 euros which i thought was quite pricey.

I was wondering if anybody knew of anywhere which offers a lip for standard models that is more aggressive than the maxton one while being a reliable country with reasonable deliveries.

Thanks Daniel.

You could always poke it in the eye with a sharp stick to make it angrier!😀

Sorry, couldn't resist. Could you post a pic/link to the kind of thing you are looking for, might help someone come up with suggestions.

Hi again,

As well if anybody knew of any places which do some other exterior cosmetic mods that would be very helpful.

I am currently also looking at some lighting modifications from AutoBeam as well as some wheels from wheelbase and a gloss black grille set from underground parts which i am currently waiting to come back into stock.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks Daniel.

Ever fitted one ??

If you get a lip spoiler you need to think well ahead and get everything you need to hold that spoiler in place whilst the glue grabs hold...... [wide masking tape - long reach plastic clamps - long strip of thin wood - panel prep cleaner]

Every bit of wax/sealant off the area where that spoiler is to go, using panel prep or white spirit,  accurately mark up the boot with masking tape, until its a spot on fit to the edge, dry fitting is the way and make sure the fit is excellent.

Choose a day you know it'll be nice and warm with no chance of rain, even better if you've a garage - blasting at the paintwork to get it red hot, the tape will bond far stronger on a hot surface than a cold surface - after fitting remove all the masking tape, then get blasting the taped edge all round with the hair drier or hot air gun on hot but not mega hot, you don't want any paint blistering or melting of the spoiler, using the wood strip to protect the spoiler masking tape to hold it down and clamp it all down, clamp from the middle working towards the ends.

Remember this is a two man job so don't try to do it yourself.

Also keep your hands spotlessly clean & grease free.

Leave it well alone for a few hours, then remove the masking tape off the spoiler, just kinda push at the new spoiler and make sure it's stuck down well, don't try to rip it off though..... a lot air rushes over the top of that spoiler, so don't want it lifting up on the corners then it's disaster time, also when it is fitted NEVER jet wash the spoiler nor the glued edge, just asking for it if you do.

Postage prices gone mad into the UK pal! I had a large letter delivered to me and it cost the sender 13 euros.....just for a flamin letter.

Yes the postage prices are making it much harder to find parts because everything not made in the UK gets doubled in price when I add shipping.

Spoiler looks great but remember my advice! Don't rush into getting it fitted, instead breath and clean & test fit, hopefully it will go well :clapping:

Have you seen this front spoiler, go well together with the rear spoiler ?

That splitter looks a very similar design to the one fitted to the facelift (Mk 8.5) ST.
