Hi all, ive just bought a 2023 ST3 (replacing my ST2 Focus). Delighted with the car, (well, mostly!) A proper handbook would have been useful, and luxerys like a spare wheel, one touch closure for the windows etc. Anyway, my question for today is, can you help me identify the various sensors fitted in the windscreen? I have spotted the traffic camera, but which is which for the others?and what does the thing ontop of the dash do? Also, there seems to be something ( a black box), lurking behind the grill, what does that do?

As I said, love the car, (apart from the automatic high beams which are a bit unreliable, and the overly complex heating conrtols).

Hard to know exactly without pictures on some, but:

One of the other sensors up by the camera is the rain sensor.

The dome on the dash is the light sensor for the climate control

The black box might be a radar if you've got adaptive cruise.

Thanks for your reply. There is a white square box, about 2cm square, stuck to the screen to the left of the centre (as seen from inside). Then two more incorporated into the black shroud that holds the camera, in ront of the RVM. Re the box behind the grill, I was under the impression that adaptive cruise had gone the same way as folding mirrors and onne touch windows, deleted!
