Phone connection

Featured Replies

Every time I switch the car on just lately, it comes up with the message, 'No phone found.' It's easy enough to reconnect the phone but can anyone give me a clue as to why it's doing this.

17 Plate Fiesta and an iPhone 15.

It uses the phone for emergency assistance.

There are times when I get this, also, and I think your Fiesta will have the same 'System' as does my Focus.

I'm trying to figure what the circumstance could be. It could be, after I use my Phone with a different Bluetooth device, then when it tries to connect to the 'Car' (so to speak), it can't do that automatically.

Bluetooth can be a little finickity with its connections, and not fully disconnecting a device, before trying to connect to another device, can cause issues.

If I discover a pattern, I'll post back.

Thanks Rob. I think you might have a point.

It might not be the same, and I can only go off what I mainly experience at work.  One of our vans, if it's left on the phone setting will seemingly constantly search for the last connected phone(s), advising to "connect a device".  Changing the display back onto the wireless gets rid of it.

Might be useful, Bob. 😕

Many thanks Micky, I'll try it this morning.

Unfortunately, it didn't work this morning.

Worked fine this morning. Doesn't seem to be able to make up its mind.

That's supposed "modern" technology, for you.

Hasn't worked once since Thursday but all I have to do is switch the Bluetooth off and back on on the phone and it connects.

Sorted it. I pressed the phone button and found the 'Phone App' The answer was in there. Strangely though, since it's cured I've not been able to find the phone app.

Failed again. Not sure which way to turn now.

Cracked it. After much thought I looked at the Bluetooth connection. I have a Nextbase 622GW Dashcam and I found that it was connecting to my phone by Bluetooth and this was preventing the car from connecting to my phone. I turned off Bluetooth on the dashcam and - problem solved. At Last.

Fingers crossed
