Hi all, I have 2 questions for you, my sons car would not start only jump off leads and he other day we found out that it need a new alternator and starter both of them been done, but on doing the starter motor we seen a thin wire trunking which gose in to the bigger wire trunking for the starter it as a L shaped connector on the end in which looks like it goes on to some kind of pin connection so not idea or this 

Would a bad relay from the battery stop the car from starting as when we turn the ignition over there is nothing just dead but we have lights and windows work, but battery runs down slowly any help on the questions would be most thankfull
