Mk3 focus wipers

Featured Replies

Morning all. I've just bought a 2014 mk3 focus. Unlike my old mk2 the wiper arms are able to be moved without the wiper motor being on. Is this normal? I noticed it because the passenger side wiper hits the door pillar, and when trying to adjust it realised I could move the arm from it's rest position quite easily. Any help appreciated.

Yes.

If you move them manually they will do a sweep next time you start the car

Thanks Dave, good to know them being able to be moved is normal. Can I ask then, is there a way to stop the passenger side blade hitting the windscreen A frame? It was while trying to adjust it I discovered that they moved without being switched on. I also tried new bosch wipers, but still the same passenger side issue. Otherwise  they work really well, just annoying the knock every time it hits. Thanks.
