Hello

 

I am fitting a towbar with a dedicated vehicle wiring kit which connects into the Canbus.

 

Can I program this myself using Forscan, or does it need a dealer visit? I tried searching the forum but surprisingly zero results showed for "towbar" which seems hard to believe so I'm not sure if the search function is working right 😉 

 

If I can do this with Forscan, please can you advise which menu I should look at for the options?

    Are you using the genuine Ford 'trailer module' ?

    If yes, then you can turn on trailer module using FORScan.

    Thanks, it's not a Ford module but one that came with the wiring kit made by Brink, I see Ford do sell Brink products in the official store (but couldn't find the exact one I have on their site).

     

    I'll try your suggestion once I get the wiring finished and socket bolted on 🙂
