Weird sounding warning bleeps.

Featured Replies

Recently bought my Focus ST Line MHEV Auto. Every now and then the warning sounds are very tinny and the dash does not light up when you open the car. Have Googled this but there are a multitude of varying answers. Anyone experienced this or have a solution? Other than that the cars fine.

More than likely just low battery charge.  The solution is to fully recharge the battery using a mains charger every few months.

I agree with Tom, the regular 12V car battery has a very low state of charge.

You need a "Maypole" smart battery charger (other makes are available but may cause offence to @StephenFord 🤣)

Your battery will need a MINIMUM of a 12 hour charge, possibly many more hours. Charge the battery while it is on the car, do not disconnect it.

Connect the battery charger positive lead direct the the battery positive terminal.

Connect the battery charger negative lead to the chassis earth point. Do not connect it to the battery terminal.

Many thanks. I'll source a charger and give it a go...
