I got only one key with my XR2i (1990). If I loose it I will be a sad man. Where would I obtain a second key or have one made?

    I don't think it'll have an immobiliser chip at that age?  So any locksmith should be able to cut a new key for it.

    I will report when a locksmith managed to copy my key to the blank succesfully.

    I owned a 1982 XR2, and a 1984 XR3i, and a 1990 RS Turbo. All had a simple straightforward, old fashioned, key!

    A smaal update: These are STILL available from Ford, and they're asking a mere € 150 for one key 😲

    I'll look around some more to just copy the existing key at a locksmith. Two have declined because they can't copy worn keys...
