ST Heated Seats into 1.0 Zetec S 2015

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am aware there are a few other threads that touch on this, but I haven’t seen any that cover my scenario.

I have a 2015 Fiesta Zetec S 1.0 EcoBoost (Red Edition). The car does not have heated seats; there are no buttons and no fuses in the slots.

I would like to put some half-leather heated ST seats in.

I am aware I would need the centre console button unit plus the wiring to attach to the main wiring loom, plus some fiddling with the connections on the seat for the plugs to fit.

But…

I do not think my car wiring loom supports the heated seat function as I cannot locate the plug on the main wiring loom on the passenger side of the centre console?

How would I go about wiring it all together? There are a couple of cars identical to mine up for sale at the moment with heated ST seats, so it can be done… but how?

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

You pay a very competent Auto-Electrician many of your British pounds and in exchange you get working heated seats. Easy 👍 🎉🎉

Yes, I feel it may come to this. An outcome I am more than happy to have.

I enjoy tinkering with my cars but haven’t done anything as involved with electrics, so my question is not only from a point of money-saving, but also from curiosity and a preference to be more hands-on.

if you are able to answer any of my questions, it would be appreciated.

Hi,

is the wiring the same on a 2016 as a 2015?
your link is to a 2016 file.

Yes, there will only be very minor differences if any.

Thanks, is it a case of wiring it up like in the attached diagram from a fiesta ST, but with the two main feeds coming off an ignition live instead of the fusebox?

Or does it need to be done differently with it being retrofitted?
