2011 zetec s 1.6 petrol engine rattle

Hello everyone, 

I've got a bit of a rattle coming from my engine (other than the normal rattles), when the engine is warm it rattles a lot, if I rev the engine you hear the rattle enhance as the revs drop. Ive done an oil change on it recently and the noise has got slightly better. Sounds like coming from behind engine near cylinder 1 and 2 but not timing belt side. 

Has anyone had experience of this or any knowledge of known faults with the vct system on the engine. 

Car drives completely fine, no miss fire, new spark plugs (ngk) recently services, very regularly checks, no oil leaks, new timing belt kit and waterpump 40k ago. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    I have the same engine but just the normal amount of rattling - what oil weight/viscosity are you using?
