Hi. Second Ford car with heatshield issues. Same as previous. Rusting away from bolted areas. Common for all types of cars? Best way to fix?

    Hi There, You can use aluminium drinks cans, Bottom of can use good scissors to cut about 2cm from bottom of upside wall (looks like shallow cup) Then fold over walls to centre squash flat, So you have double thickness round plate, Then make hole in centre with flat or cross head screwdriver to fit over stud push in around hole to form conical washer than add original nut and tighten up.
