One indicator not working

Hi guys, 

I have a ford fiesta 2009 1.4 and one indicator has stopped working (the other works perfectly). It flashes once, then stops and cuts out. 

I have recently had a boot open error too, so I feel it may be connected to that as they happened within a few days of each other

Does anyone have an idea of what this could be and what I can do to fix it?

    More than one, seemingly unconnected, electronic fault on cars of this era usually point to a faulty GEM module.  Check it over for any signs of water ingress or corrosion on the plugs.
