1.4 TDCI Injector leaking fuel from the fitting (photo)

Featured Replies

Hello,
One of my SIEMENS injectors leaks diesel between the injector body and the bottom of the fitting (see the image). First I though it was leaking from the top of the fitting where it meets with metal fuel line (because pipe was wet as well) so I spend 4 hours to remove everything, refit the pipe. But when I check after a few days of driving, I realized that it leaks from the bottom of the fitting.

Now, how can I fix it? Is there an o-ring there? If so what size? If there's no o-ring, should I just remove it and put some teflon tape on, will that work?

Thank you!

Hi, I don't know the Siemens injectors, but I do know that diesel dissolves 'normal' O ring rubber, but don't know about teflon.

You're right. I've seen a video. Seems like there's a metal seal under that fitting but cannot find it anywhere also no info about the dimensions. I don't know what to do at this point.

The fuel pressure is incredibly high there, soft seals won't work.  I think the best idea is to contact an injector refurbisher to ask if they'll supply you a single metal seal.

I don't live in UK, but I will check my local injector shops. Thank you!
