My fiesta accelerates without touching the pedal

Featured Replies

Hi, i have a Fiesta 2015 1.5 tdci which runs great apart from when i take corners in 2nd or 3rd gear the car accelerates itself on flat ground and slopes. This lasts for a 2-3 seconds then it slows down.I have to use the foot brake to slow it down in these situations.Anyone any ideas?

It sounds daft but I actually had that issue when I got my first Mk 8 Fiesta after driving other cars for some years. I now avoid wide fittings for anything I might drive in.

Never had the problem in previous Mk 7s though so it seemed odd. (And no, my feet haven't grown in the last few years!😀)

Its the first time ive had this prob in any car.I will look out for the trainer possibility next time.
