Changing Front Wipers

Featured Replies

Hi there, apologies in advance if this sounds a bit daft. I have a 2017 Titanium with Rain sensor front window. I need to replace the wiper blades which I haven't done before. Any tips on how to go about it please. There seems to be a myriad selection of blades, sizes etc any brand recommendations? Advice and recommendations would be most appreciated.    Many Thanks

I'm afraid I don't have a Focus, so no experience, I'm sure others on here will know. The only advice is to R.T.F.M ie look at owners manual!

As for brands, stick to well known ones. I always buy Bosch and have heard good things about Valeo blades. You can buy them at ECP (Euro Car Parts) you should be able to find discount codes for them too. I've also used Wiperblades.co.uk.

I think it's easy enou I had a 2014 Titanium X and did mine a few years ago prior to MOT. Bought off Amazon and followed instructions on the packaging. There is usually a YouTube video for anything like that if you have a search on Google.

Bosch seem to be the best, you get what you pay for.

Same size on Mk3 Driver & Passenger

Just search for the best prices

Agree with Bosch. Excellent replacement blades.

Useful site for identifying correct blades:

https://www.wiperblades.co.uk/

(It's not clear what you have, btw - your profile states

  • Ford Model: 2011 Focus Titanium UK Model
  • Ford Year: 2014

and you mention 2017 in your post)

Many thanks for the tips folks. I'll stick to Bosch and will update my profile.

Thanks Again.

I have a friend who, once upon a time, worked for Britax and he always recommended Bosch wiper blades...

These wiper blades are so easily stolen so easy money to sell new wipers on ebay..... ''brand new without manufacturers packaging''

Was at a local dealership and a row of brand new cars had all the wiper blades nicked, all would have gone the ebay route.

Only KAMOKA fitted perfectly on mine.

Perhaps also Bosch.

Odd comment to state only one brand 'fitted'? There are many brands that will make a custom fit, and numerous more that will also supply 'universal' fitments to also fit...

Just which ones fitted to mine.

Many other brands didn't fit.

Bosch also didn't fit perfectly. Perhaps that time the technician put the wrong adaptor.

I can only comment from my own experience. I fitted Bosch wipers to my previous Focus, 2014 3.5 Titanium X and found them to be very simple to fit out of the packaging, they didn't need an adaptor and were excellent quality. Maybe someone tried to fit the wrong wiper blade for the car?

Perhaps.

Yep, Bosch direct fit fit perfectly
