ST150 Headlights Indicator and Radio Light stopped working

Featured Replies

Hi,

I just went to fit some LED numberplate lights and first one went in fine all working and when I went to check the second one I noticed none were lighting up. Since then I have lost the indicator for the headlights being on in the instrument cluster and the lights on my radio are no longer showing.

I have done the instrument cluster test and all the lights are still there and checked the fuses and can't see any that are blown, I've ordered some new ones which will arrive tomorrow so I can change them.

I can't find anything about this happening to anyone that has a solved answer but from what I've read, it seems as if the LED numberplate lights are causing this problem and blowing the fuses

If anyone has any help about this it would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

I'm confused, first you say you've checked the fuses and all OK. Then you state the number plate lights are blowing the fuses?

Sorry for the confusion, from what I’ve read people are saying the led lights may be blowing the fuses

LED bulbs draw a minuscule current compared to standard filament bulbs. Highly unlikely they're blowing fuses...

You could try CanBus error free bulbs - they may make a difference though your car is of an age it won't even know what kind of bulbs are inserted!

I'm not sure it's based on age.  I had a 2004 Audi A3 that didn't like LED numberplate bulbs.

I don't know whether the facelift Mk6 Fiesta uses CANBUS for this lighting circuit or not though.

I suspect there is just one fuse blown based on the items that aren't working.

Thank you, going to go through the fuses properly today, when driving this morning the Speedo lights weren’t on. I’ve looked at the diagram and I think f20 and f33 are the ones related to it
