Ford Fiesta 1.4TDCi 2011 Engine malfunction

Featured Replies

Hi i did an oil change and changed air filter, oil filter and cabin filter so every filter except fuel filter which i wanted to change in the afternoon...but after changing oil and all of these 3 filters i mentioned i started up the car and engine malfunction light went on and the screen said engine malfunction service now...i am wondering what might be wrong...there was some small pipe unconnected from the air filter but that was unconnected before even the oil change...also i have read somewhere that i might have put the oil filter wrong because there is suppossed to be some connection point or something like that? i dont really know so please if any of you have any idea whats wrong help me please

Did the oil pressure light come on?  If not, it's probably not an oil issue.

Cabin filter can be discounted entirely from engine faults.

So that only leaves the air filter.  Did you maybe leave a sensor unplugged around the filter box by accident?
