Rpm hangs on startup

Featured Replies

I have a Ford fiesta 2020 mhev and when I cold start my car the rpm doesn't drop all the way to idle rpm. It begins to drop then it hangs at 1000rpm for a minute or two then drops back down to the proper idle rpm. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Thanks for the reply! So there is no issue with the engine? This happens randomly and is not consistent on every cold start. Is this a normal thing on the mhev ecoboost engines?

Its a normal thing on all modern engines.
