2010 16v tdci 1.6 still having 1500rpm problems

Featured Replies

Hi all, I posted a while ago that my Focus 1.6 tdci still has the issue of lumpy, rough running at 1500rpm approx, on very light throttle. I have been looking into this for a couple of years now, but I'm still no further forward. Could this be an bogus, rogue ecu software fault, manufactured at the factory ? I'm wondering if a reset would potentially help? Any more ideas on this known issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Tony

Have you checked the PCM to see if there are any software updates available?

Have you tried different diesel?

Hi. No I haven't to either Dave. Would I check for software updates with FORscan? May try Shell for a bit, see if that helps. Thank you   Tony.
