Hi all hope all is well, trying to restore my 2010 ford focus zetec s. The scuttle panel was loose so I took it off to refit. I cleaned all the dead leaves and gunk out but noticed 2 cable one on each side of the under the windows screen in the scuttle bay not conected does anyone know what they are there for .

Sounds like the heated windscreen cables.

Possibly also the connections for heated washer jets. 
 

If the panel seems loose or gapping along the lower edge of the windscreen it’s often due to the carrier strip becoming detached from the bottom of the screen. They aren’t secured to the screen very well and the action of trying to push the rib on the leaf screen into the strip helps either push it off or down away from the rid it’s supposed to grip 🙁

Hi thank you for the replies. The problem is I bought the car cheaply but it has some problems.

1 . New window screen but the connections on this screen for the heated window screen not present. I think someone has botched the replacement screen. So I have no heated screen. How do you tell if the screen is a heated one?

2. Horn needed replacing now working

3.exhaust loose needs brackets or holders or harness

4. can’t find footwell lights 

5 bumper need a repair at bottom

apart from that everything good to go

open to suggestions

You can see the heater elements in heated screens when you look closely.  If someone's fitted a non-heated screen, the only option is to replace the whole screen again or go without.

Don't think footwell lights were standard on Mk2.5 Zetec.
