No audio after Sync 1>3 Upgrade

Hey All,

Just completed the Sync 1 to 3 upgrade from this forum, and everything went well the first pass through but I didn't have the parts for the USB hub yet, so I chilled for a week with a working car.

The parts just came and I thought this would be a fun mod to include my wife in so we set to work installing the USB hub. ONE OF US put the hub wires on the wrong way (positive to negative) and the OTHER one of us didn't check before starting the system. It appears the system probably shorted and now the whole unit works but the sound is set to 0, the steering wheel controls work but you cant set the sound above 0, the fascia controls do not work, and I am stuck with the audio tab saying AUDIO OFF or stuck on loading. If I tap out of the audio tab I cannot tap back into it until the system is reset.

I'm assuming the ACM is cutting all sound to save the system because it believes there is still a short? The wires have been removed and the radio fuse is fine. The power button on the fascia is also still working, and I can use the >>> skip button to do a Sync reset, it appears to just be audio related.

Does anyone have any ideas? Hoping the ACM isn't just fried.

    Gonna need everyone to ignore me - she's plugged in one of the ACM harnesses and not noticed the second. Maybe I should be double checking the basics before panicking 🫠
