No start, no crank b1342 ecu is defective (eeprom in pcm is not working — replace pcm b1601 Unprogrammed encoded ignition key detecte Key still has its rfid according to locksmith. Only have this one Key. Anyone knows if I can 1)order a new Key , 2) erase all keys in Forscan , 3) add my two keys? Or perhaps order a used ECU with keys and antenna and swap? Dont have much money 😞
unofix
You need to use the licensed version of FORScan and a vLinker FS cable connected to a Windows Laptop. You will be able to reprogramme the vehicle to recognise your key(s)

Du kommer att kunna programmera om fordonet för att känna igen din(a) nyckel(r) I really appreciate your answer, thank you unofix. I have the licensed version of Forscan on trial another two months. Regarding the reader I have this elm327: https://www.runns.se/felkodslasare/felkodslasare-ford/felkodslasare-forscan-elm-327-usb Is it necessary to use vLinker FS, perhaps I can give it a try with the elm327 first? unofix
On a 2004 vehicle the ELM327 may still work. You can always give it a try.
termosh
I can give it a try, however the b1342 code makes me think that the ECU is defective
DaveT70
I didn't think FORScan supported MK1 Focus????
ThatGuyJack
Also have the same issue with my mk1, Exact same codes as well (1342 & 1601) i have issues with PATS and general running sometimes I'm looking at swapping the PCM so i'll let you know if that works out fine. Let me know if you find a solution in the meantime.

Låt mig veta om du hittar en lösning under tiden. I'm thinking of buying an old cheap ECU/PCM and just swap it and hope for the best. 😅
