Fiesta Ecoboost 1.0 2015 Cat Removal

Featured Replies

I'm trying to replace the Cat on my son's Fiesta.  I've managed to unbolt everything but can't work out how to manoeuvre the Cat from the vehicle.  I assumed, once free, it would drop down under the vehicle.  Every way I turn it, one of the mounting brackets fouls on something.  Do I need to remove other stuff to get it out?  The obvious culprit seems to be the A/C pump and associated pipes/fittings.

Also, there is a large bracket on the original Cat (I've not got the new one yet) that looks like it should bolt to the engine block, but there was no bolt in it.  Should this be bolted in place, and if so, what size bolt should it be?

Cheers
