This 2007 Ford focus 2.0L i just changed the oil on seemed like it running perfectly fine for a few hours after changing the oil but then abruptly stopping while driving. When trying to start again you can the car tryng to turn over but doesnt start.

I then moved on to the spark plugs to find that some oil had made its way through there by im assuming over filling the oil tank, i then drained some oil from the car, cleaned and gave new spark plugs. The car will still try its best to turn over but wont start. The battery seems to fine since there are still lights and radio turning on as well as the battery and oil light on the dash. I have it charging over the day just case but now at a loss.

Do you not have to drive through some deep flood water for that?

Any liquid that gets into a cylinder can cause a hydrolock.  That includes oil or coolant.

OP - Is it petrol or diesel?  How much oil did you put in?

Too much oil in the sump can also cause hydro lock

We need to know exactly the amount you put in.  As Stephen says, it's sold in bottles of specific sizes so should be easy to work out.

Also need to know whether it's petrol or diesel because the capacities are different.  Though as you've answered in quarts I'll assume USA petrol lol.
