these connectors under clutch pedal

Featured Replies

Hi All

Hope everyone is well, I'm asking again about these connector under the clutch pedal under the footwell light holder there is one in the same area in the passengers side footwell.....as Im baffled to what they would be used for. each connector has a two wires yet its four pin as you know I have been searching for the footwell lights and wandering if these were part of the light units. someone did suggest they were part of the seatbelt tensioners I hope not as it will mean the seatbelts will need sorting out.

what connects to them and we're are the other connectors for them. does anyone know what I connect to them

regards

Anthony

At a guess an unused accessory block which might be connected to something that is optional or only fitted on the top of the range car, I'd just push it up out the way.

Can anyone please elaborate what these are and what fits into them

Perhaps that was just someone making a post for the sake of it ?

They are nothing to do with the seatbelt tensioner. Can you confirm the colour of the wires, is one just solid yellow and the other solid black ?

Definitely not the footwell connectors - those are bulb sockets wired directly to a larger connector going to a box I assume is the GEM

You may be able to work it out looking at the connector layouts shown in the wiring schematic after the wiring diagrams

The connector is only partly populated meaning that the wires were intended for equipment that your vehicle is not fitted with. The yellow wire is very often a 5V supply for a sensor and the black is just an earth. Had there also been a white wire in the connector then it would have been for the interior movement sensor(s) for the vehicle alarm.
