Key fob battery issues

Featured Replies

My 2018 ecoboost st line came up with the key fob battery low warning yesterday so i changed the battery and it locked and unlocked the car and started the car but the warning was still coming up however this morning the same key then wouldn’t unlock the car so I grabbed my spare fob and it unlocked the car now both fobs are working but the warning is still coming up on the dash for both the fobs any ideas ?

There are a lot of duff Batteries going around. You need to measure the Voltage, it should be 3.3 volts, once it get to just over 3 volts you start to get these warnings.

Ok well I’ve changed the batteries again with more new ones and I’m still getting the same warning

I have seen a reset procedure mentioned on here.  Something like lock & unlock 3 times quickly.
