Spanner light comes on after air induction kit fitted

Featured Replies

Hi all, I have a Fiesta 1.0 LTR cohost ST-Line.

My son wanted an induction kit fitted, which I have done but now over around 3,000 rpm the spanner light comes on.

can anyone assist me on what the issue could be?

TIA

Other than that is  a total waste of money as it won't do anything there is a silver pipe protruding from the red part, just after the jubilee, that will need blanking.

The same airbox is fitted to all models 1000cc to 1600cc (ST) it doesn't matter what you do to it, it's never going to pull as much air as the 1600cc ST, I'd put the standard box back on

Oh, and tell him not to go through any puddles fast as the position of the intake looks like it'll just be a puddle hoover

Thanks for the reply , I have blanked that already.  With this induction kit fitted, the car appears to have a massive boost in power, particularly noticeable in 2nd and 3rd gears, so just need a resolution now as to what needs to be done to prevent the “spanner error”/limp mode after 3000 rpm

TIA

Hi, it might help if you read the codes to find out what's upsetting the ecu..🤔
