Before you roll your sleeves up and get down & dirty, have you got a quote from an exhaust place to do it, like KwikFit or ATS, or others. At the very least, will give you a price comparison to doing it yourself...

FWIW I bought mine from RPM Performance on eBay.

My purchase was for the Focus but the items are very similar.

I was more than happy with the quality of the item.

Note that it is tricky cutting away the old Flexi - this because it's so close to the sump. Measure twice! Easy to cut too short.

Yeah I too have used one of the stainless steel repair sections and can echo they work well. Here are some instructions for mine (which likely apply to them all as no doubt they're based on the same design if not actually coming out of the same factory).

Incidentally I fitted a new gasket, and had to resort to using a tungsten carbide grinding bit in my Dremel to get the old heavily-corroded nuts off!

Hi

Thank you all for the reply good information and guidance I do appreciate them all and are very helpful.

I did get a couple of quotes one £180 fitted the other £260 not fitted. I just  found it a bit off that that these included a cat which to be honest I don't need. I will have a look at getting the parts / kits that you have all kindly suggested and save her a bit of money by doing it myself.

Thanks again this is one of the main reasons that i like this club

Best regards John
