Fiesta Mk6 (UK) 2008

Featured Replies

Hi all some advice if possible.

my eldest lad has brought himself his first car a 2008 Fiesta mk6 1.4 3door but is having a couple of issues.

first is the front drivers doesn’t  want to lock all the time, the handle seems to get jammed and it starts moving in to lock but stops I have searched the forums and seen all the door lock issues and checked for corrosion at the door plug and checked the door drains etc but no joy I can hear the motor working and trying to lock but fails

second is a red flashing immobiliser light, I think this is because he keeps spamming the lock and unlock buttons of the key remote and it’s confusing the ecu but he has said it happens at various times as well. If needed can the immobiliser be programmed out via forscan? I would say 7 out of 10 times it starts up fine and having been left for about 5/10 mins it starts every time?

Thanks in advance!
