Radiator foam

Featured Replies

Noticed a long thin piece foam under the bonnet which appears to have been fixed to top of the radiator but had fallen off ( looks like it was fixed near the air filter inlet housing). It’s about 5cm long. Does this matter?
I think this happened when the AA changed my battery last week as they removed the entire air filter housing unit to take the battery out. Think they caught the foam and it’s fallen off the radiator.
The AA laid the housing in the ground and then refit. Assuming air filter inside is held in firmly place and won’t have moved when the unit was removed and refitted?

Have you a photo? Sounds very odd,  the radiator doesn't have foam attached... (May even be packing on new battery?)

Know what you mean about the foam on the rad. Just chuck it in the bin. Not going to make any difference.

Picture of foam. It was lying to the left of the black air filter intake. Other photo is the top of the radiator - think it was attached here and has fallen off.

You need to put that in the Ford suggestion box. They need to save every fraction of a penny they can 🤣

A bit of an over reaction when just deleting the foam would have done 🤣
