My 2014 ford focus EV wont charge

Featured Replies

I recently bought a "refurbished" 2014 ford focus ev from a used car place. And as one does i took what they claimed about the range and such with a grain of salt. But i whould have just poured the whole shaker out cause not even two months later its not charging at all. Completely dead and wont accept a charge. Does anyone know if this is a common issue with this model?

Presume you mean this?

Must be quite rare, I've never even seen one tbh, let alone seen anything on common faults**. Iirc the range was pretty poor, even new.

But as you've bought from a dealer only 2 months ago you can pusue matters through Consumer Rights.

Edit: just had a quick search and found:

Anyone else think that this site should reject member registration unless minimum values are completed properly?

Ford UK never sold any. Only one I saw was at ford training centre in Daventry many years ago. A few came into the country and ford used them.  So I'm guessing the person isnt based in UK.

Without a profile, who knows?? LOL

That would make sense -  " would have just poured the whole shaker out" doesn't sound like a UK phrase to me.

What happened to the ones Ford used?
