I might seem incredibly thick here. Bear with me.

I have a Zetec S 2012 with the silver trim fascia/head unit.

I saw the Sony stereo fascia (black) on eBay and read it comes with DAB, so I got one from a breaker on eBay that says it was tested.

It was pretty much a like for like swap with the cables, so it's all hooked up. Only problem is the screen is black - does nothing. I'm getting sound from the radio so assume they've given me a duff display unit?

Other thing is, I think I've been stupid in assuming DAB will just work - do I need to plug a specific aerial in/connection?

Not an audio expert by any means (hopefully one will be along shortly!), but I doubt you'd get DAB without a digital aerial. I would expect the screen should display if picking up an FM signal though.

Depending on the type of existing aerial arrangement that is already fitted to your car, you will likely need the aerial amplifier/isolator unit (normally fitted in the top edge of the tailgate). Also possibly the extra aerial cable.

Using FORScan you will have to change the settings for the radio to "With DAB"
