1.0 manual gearbox issues

Featured Replies

I have a 2022 1.0 155 st line x focus with manual 6sp gearbox. In February this year at around 20k I lost 1st 2nd gear so it went back and had a new gearbox and then had take it back few days later as ford wanted the clutch replacing with an uprated one. Couple of months later in April the same thing happened again so went back and rebuilt the gearbox under warranty but were pointing the finger at me as the issue. All was fine until last Tuesday last week when I was at a roundabout and went to pull away and again felt like something snapped and it come out of gear and lost 1st and 2nd again!! It’s currently at a ford approved garage who are refusing to touch it or do it under warranty as they are saying it must be driver error as this is the only focus with the same problem! I have been driving manuals for 20 years never had an issue with a gearbox so can’t get my head around why there refusing to do anything and also don’t understand how it’s my fault. They won’t even investigate it unless I pay them to do so. It’s still under warranty so is this right?

You could get the car to a different Ford workshop.
