So I’ve been having throttle problems with my 1.8 duratec he petrol focus. I put a new throttle body on and where I work ( not Ford ) they put a scanner on to reset the parameters of the throttle. Ever since the car is literally un drive able! When you start the engine the revs jump to 2,500 rpm. They settle then soon as you touch the throttle they jump right up to 5,000rpm and stay there even with foot off the throttle. Can’t find a vacuum leak anywhere! I’ve tried the leads from positive to negative to reset the ecu but since it’s been on that scanner nothing is working at all. A can’t drive it as soon as i touch the throttle it just sits there and revs till a change gear then does it all over again. Any ideas?
