Focus MK1 not starting

Car not turning over

MK1 Focus MK1 1.6 petrol 150k

The alternator was replaced 3 months back, and the car has been working fine until this morning.

When turning the key nothing happens, no attempt to start 😞

Radio works, car locks/unlocks via the key and heater and headlights work

Checked the battery voltage which is at 12.52 volts

Could it be the starter motor?

Upon inspection I've noticed this wire that is disconnected which splits off from the alternator, any ideas where the wire goes?

Mk1's aren't my really my area.  I think that wire might be for the oil pressure switch though.

There may be a small wire to the starter but I don't think it would have that kind of terminal on it.  The starter can be bench tested if you can get it out but that looks quite tight for access.

All fixed 🙂

It was a wire that was disconnected, the wire splits off from the alternator plug, managed to figure it out and pushed the wire back on the thread, given it's a plug, I found it unusual that it fits onto a thread! Anyway once connected the car came back to life! 🙂
