How to make my reversing light brighter?

Featured Replies

Hi guys

Last problem I hope 🤣🤣

Now that it's getting darker quickly, I live in Cornwall and there are many back roads and my reverse light isn't helping much in the way of me seeing behind me.

What do you guys do? Put a brighter bulb in or make a bodge up job on the other side so you have 2 reversing light?

I am aware the reverse light is really to let people know you are reversing but I am hoping to kill 2 birds with 1 stone as the saying goes.

Many thanks again guys 😊

I was just about to ask the same question about brighter reverse bulbs. So what do people recommend?. I want something bright enough to see behind when backing up.

I installed an LED bulb and it was a bit better. Then went all out and installed a secondary LED light cluster in center under bumper - all good...

Ford spec combinations blessed my car with privacy glass and auto-dimming rear view mirror making reversing in the dark a lottery 🙄

Upgraded my reversing light with a CRED version. Just can’t find a photo of the style I used and not sure if still available now.

For the big win I got a couple of spare reverse/rear fog lamps and made up a pair of dual bulb lamps with crossover wiring to double up the reverse lamps and rear fogs. And a reversing camera to updated head unit.

Not sure if there’s room in the pre-facelift lamps to squeeze a second bulb in there

Do led reverse bulbs in the original cluster cause any issues with the MOT.
