2015 Fiesta Mod Questions

Featured Replies

Hi all, first time poster.
I have a 2015 Ambiente here in Australia with the 1.5 (I think Kent) motor in it.
Just wondering if there are any mods to make it breath a little better and better spark plugs.
Also, can you install the fog lights from the Trend? I can see the factory plugs are in the bumper and the interior button feels like it pushes, but is there anything I need to do in the software to activate the lights?

Rear valance upgrades, is there anything better than the plain Jane rear valance?

Cheers all

Hi Corey,

Sounds as if specs and model designations there are very different - this is a predominantly UK based forum with a few members elsewhere so I doubt we'd be able to help much. The "Kent" engine we know in Europe was a 4 cylinder pushrod design with carburettor so I doubt you have one of those!😀

I think you have a 1.5 normally aspirated 4 cylinder DOHC of around 110hp? Virtually all petrol Fiestas of that era in Europe (apart from the 1.6ST) are 1.0 3 cylinder Ecoboosts so there won't be much, if any, knowledge of yours.

I'm guessing what you have might be an n/a version of the 4 cyl 1.5 Ecoboost as fitted to the Mk 3.5 Focus in Europe, also Kuga and Mondeo. There's not much you can do with an n/a engine anyway.

As far as body mods go, you might get more ideas. Plenty of threads on here about rear valence mods for instance if you have a search of the site, particularly the "Project and build threads" section.

Whether you could get any parts mentioned in OZ is another question, though fitting an ST rear valence with a suitable dual exhaust outlet is a popular mod and I know you had that out there, so that's one thought.

Thanks Eric, I was told that a few years ago so knew it might be wrong, yes that motor sounds about right. So just panel filter and leave it alone then.

I did look through the project forum but got to page 6 and didn’t really see anything that was about rear valance in that model.

I guess my main question was around the fog lights, do you know about them?

Unfortunately a lot of the threads are old now so the links have "died". This one was very good:

Also some in the normal Fiesta forum, you just have to dig around:

Or just do an internet search on the topic using Google or whatever - the search facility on this (and other forums) isn't brilliant.

Can't help with the fogs I'm afraid, not something I've ever bothered with. I suspect (but don't know)  Australian/SE Asia wiring may be different anyway, so you may need a bit of local knowledge.
