Galaxy Mk3 Radio upgrade for DAB+

Featured Replies

I'm looking for what parts I need to replace in my Galaxy 2025 (Mk3) to be able to receive DAB+ radio transmissions. Anyone that give me directions to where I can find this information? I know it is done for other Ford models but I haven't found any information on Galaxy or S-Max.

Well a brand new 2025 Galaxy should already have DAB+ 🤣

Since we don't know what country you are in, all I can say is that a UK specification 2015 Galaxy should already have DAB so just need to replace the radio.

Ouch, 2015 of course.

It is a Belgium car. And if you state "replace the radio", what module do I need then as replacement?

Can you post a photo of the radio unit you have please ? Do you have SatNav ?

Your model is probably different to the UK spec.

Photo attached. And yes, I do have satnav on my sync-2 entertainment system.

That looks like you have Sync2 but without SatNav.

In the UK that would support DAB and also DAB+

If you have DAB but don't have DAB+ it might be possible to enable it using FORScan just as you can also turn on the SatNav function.

I do have satnav but no DAB. I can try to enable it to see if the hardware was already installed but that would be a stroke of luck 🙂

Clearly your units specification differs to that of the UK which makes offering advice difficult.

Perhaps buy a UK unit ?

Which one should I buy then? Problem might be the different connectors used.

I don't think the connectors will be different.

@JW1982 might be able to advise on Belgium specification units.

Looks like I have a EM2T-19C107-DF module in my car now and need a EM2T-19C107-G* module. Did a quick search on the inetrnet but these modules (both versions) seem 'non existing'.

Are you sure that it is a "G" that you need and not "C" ?

That is what I got back from someone that checked my VIN. These C-modules are available so that would be good news but I have no idea 😞. I also don't know if an H-module would also work because those are available (but rare).
