Fiesta MK7.5 Lighting issues.

Featured Replies

Good evening team,

Recently discovered my bulbs had stopped working but found it was odd which bulbs had gone, yet to change the bulbs so I jumped straight to the fuses under the bonnet and noticed fuse 25 & 26 Exterior lighting left/right hand side are blowing when they are replaced as I swapped them with the front fog which now works again now it has been replaced with a new 15A fuse.

The bulbs in question which have stopped working are as follows; dipped beams, DRL, sidelights, rear night time lights and rear fog light. All other bulbs are working perfectly.

My next step would be to change all the bulbs or atleast one side and replace the fuse or move onto looking at the relays, only issue with that, without any diagrams I am unaware which relay feeds this circuit, if anyone is willing to help and provide some guidance I will be very grateful,

Thank you.

Liam

Just check for wiring issues at the headlamp connectors first, before you start pulling the BCM out.

The rear lights would be out if the fuse has blown

Other bulbs within the headlamps work, ie full beam and indicators, so this has to be another issue, even changed the dipped beams today and swapped them to see if they were blowing the fuses and it still was, so it wasn’t the old lamps. It’s difficult to dig deeper without writing off all the lights as it stands brake and indicators work.

Hi.  First post here.
I have exactly the same problem as Liam - both dipped beams have stopped working.
The dipped beam indicator on the dash thinks they are working and there are no fault codes.

All other lights including main  beam work.

so we both live in Hampshire by the look of it and have the same car and the same problem which started at about the same time (I've not tried properly to fix it before today)... before I blame the Hampshire roads, have you figured anything out @Liam?

@unofix I am blown away by the amount of support you obviously provide here!  there are a few pages missing from the wiring diagrams you provided a few days ago in this thread, including, typically, 85 which is the headlamps page.

thanks

Yes it was just pointed out to me a few days ago that some pages are missing 🙁

They were 'obtained' from the Ford data base and it seems that some of the downloads were incomplete. I can only hope when the Russian guys have finished the little tiff they are having with the neighbours, they might be able to fill in the missing pages 👍

Managed to get mine working and did a bit of testing.  strangely, it seems as though there is a series style circuit going on there and when the bulb in the nearside light is blown, it breaks the continuity and the one on the offside also stops working.   when it isn't rainy and cold, I will take a proper look at it and trace it both ways to see whether there is something badly wired in the harness.... then it would be interesting to understand what the similarity is with Liam's build... and if his was a similar issue.
