Mystery NOise

Featured Replies

I have a Ford Fiesta 1.0l Ecoboost 2016 that has been a good car. Has had wet cambelt changed with no issues.

It has developed a noise that several mechanics have been unable to diagnose or resolve

At slow speeds (between 10-15mph in 2nd gear) or when reversing up a slight incline, there is a  rumbling noise that varies in volume and foes not happen all of the time i.e. I cannot replicate it all of the time, however it is when the car is under load.

The clutch has been replaced, front shock absorbers have been replaced and flexi hose have been changed (they needed to be changed in any case)

A mechanic has replaced clips that hold various in things in place but to no avail

I was hoping to attach a recording of the noise but the forum does not have the facility to do so

Thanks in advance
