Featured Replies

Hi folks F11 multiple task fuse keep blowing fuse Ive tried disconnecting the air mass sensor, camshaft actuator sensor, and EVAP sensor, but the fuse is still blowing engine mange light on and and steering goes heavy code can be clear but since start the car comes back ,I also checked the PCM wiring, and everything looks fine. I cant find the fault. The gearbox was recently replaced on this car. And I get p2088 camshaft a.b p0101, p0245 also tried to see if turbo has solenoid valve to disconnect and see if the short still there but didn’t see any Has anyone had a similar issue?

What is the VIN or the Reg please.

Just trying to find the correct wiring schematic for your vehicle.

After this post, suggest adding correct vehicle and other details to your profile (possible to be working on more than one, of course) then copying the salient data into a new post in the correct vehicle forum and clearly stating that this thread is closed  (this will meet forum requirements)

Was the loom damaged when the gearbox was changed - look for signs of that?

The most crucial code I see is the P0290 clearly stating a short to ground which may be affecting other things:

https://www.dtcdecode.com/Ford/P0245

Must find that/those connectors and wiring path for rubbed cables in the loom and test for the short (there may be devices that can guide you to that?)

P0290 cylinder 10 doesn't make much sense, nor does P2088 at the moment?

Otherwise, voltage on the system either due to the short or battery issue (you'll know the difficulty of long distance diagnosis!)

If your questions are related to a 2010  Ford S-Max 1.6 petrol, automatic then you need to be asking questions in the S-Max forum.

https://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/forum/24-ford-s-max-club/

and if your questions are related to a 2020 Ford Transit Custom 1.0 EcoBoost then you need to be asking questions in the Transit forum.

The reg is PF10NTA and it’s 2.0 not 1.6 my bad I try to correct it . Thanks

This is the link to the Ford Schematics of the 2013 model, it should be very similar to yours. It looks like Fuse F16 is probably the same as your Fuse F11, (see page 13-4)

Your S-Max 2.0 EcoBoost was built 5th May 2010.

This is a link to the correct S-Max Owners Handbook.

Fuse F11 does not match the listing that you have posted above.

Which F11 are you referring to, is it this one shown on page 224 ?

Yes, not the same diagram as the one I posted . I found a the pic on YouTube, but it didnt specify the exact year and model. The problem seems to vary depending on the year and engine size. The fuse diagram  codes you provided are correct; thank you for that. I plan to investigate further tomorrow by unplugging all the sensors to identify the fault. I also check for damaged wires and provide an update here.
